Pastor Joseph Chevere is the co-founder of Celebrate Hope and Founder of Heroes Of Hope which helped inspire the birth of Celebrate Hope. Pastor Joe is a Certified Recovery Coach and has worked as a union carpenter in NYC for 21 years. Joseph is married to Dolly Chevere since 1990 and they have 2 daughters, and 6 grandchildren. Before Joseph was converted to Christ he was a young man caught up in the society he lived in. Coming from the streets of Red Hook, Downtown Brooklyn he was raised to emulate the mobster street life that surrounded him. Money, power and respect was a priority growing up which was translated into drugs, violence and establishing your name or testimony on the streets. In 1985 he found himself addicted to heroin & cocaine. He went into a residential program called Anchor House and stayed there for 5 months. This was the first time he had ever heard about being born again and the gospel message that God can set you free and something within him began to happen. After leaving from Anchor House, Joseph went into a new program in Brooklyn called Victory Outreach. It was in this residential drug program that the gospel seed within Joseph flourished and he had a powerful breakthrough and was converted to Christ. Through Victory Outreach, Joseph was mentored in Christian living and ministry. Joseph also attended Vision Bible Institute where he studied the Bible and today has an Associates Degree. In 2005, he was launched out with his wife to Staten Island to pioneer a Victory Outreach Church. He established a church and a men’s discipleship home in the New Brighton section of Staten Island. In 2013, in the wake of hurricane Sandy, Pastor Joseph brought the Victory Outreach Church under the covering of Christian Pentecostal Church where he is now serving as an assistant pastor. Overseeing Community Outreach, Bible Institute Classes, Support Groups, Follow up, Men's Ministry & Special Events.
Rev. Anthony Reinglas is 1st Vice President of Celebrate Hope and is also the co-founder, along with his wife of over 30 years, Lisa Reinglas. Anthony was initially ordained through Covenant Ministries International by the late, David T. Demola of Faith Fellowship Ministers, and is currently Vice President of the Board at SonRise Faith Church (where his mother is Pastor). He is also founder and President of Xtreme Church (Xtreme1038), an Apostolic ministry focused on building the Kingdom of God and end time revival. In addition to actively ministering and striving to build the Kingdom of God, Anthony is a NYC Real Estate and Construction manager, and lives in New Jersey with his beautiful wife Lisa and wonderful daughter Christen.
Anthony was born in Brooklyn NY and moved to Staten Island in his young teens. He graduated from Tottenville High School in 1981; and despite being a Pastor’s kid, he lived a lifestyle of organized crime, partying, cocaine use, and all that went with it. The downward spiral that ensued caused many regrets, but 7 years later the Lord in His grace, took hold of the helm. Anthony met his wife Lisa, was delivered from drugs and was able to use his legal troubles and hardships as a stepping stone to forge and manifest impeccable character. Anthony went on to win several awards in the real estate management and construction industry and is also the author of several well published Christian books and is a respected business leader who is called upon for council by many prominent figures in the real estate, legal and even political arenas for his insight and wisdom.
Between his background in substance abuse and his heart for helping people and building the Kingdom of God, it is not hard to see why in 2017 Rev. Anthony and his wife Lisa decided to collaborate with Joseph Chevere to forge the Celebrate Hope Center. They desired to not only stop, but to reverse the effects of this massive drug epidemic that was claiming the precious lives in the Staten Island community.
